So, What's in store for 2023?

BassinDude is officially launching in 2023! This has been a long time in the making and I am soo proud to be bringing this brand to the fishing industry.

This year will mostly be a "content" year where I will be focusing on social media growth and expansion. Listed below are some of the directions I will be going with content. I will also be bringing in some general fun-fishing content as well as maintaining this blog.

Your support will go a LONG ways and I would greatly appreciate it if you would like and subcribe/follow my social media accounts and ask your friends/family to do the same. (Follow the links on this webpage.) This is simple to do and I will be making all efforts to make this worth-while! And hey...who doesn't enjoy some fun fishing content in the meantime?

BassinDude's Kayak Tournament-101 Series

I am launching a how-to video series for anglers looking to get involved in competitive kayak fishing. This series will explain the different levels of competition that are available to kayak anglers, go over all of the basic gear needed to compete, and will explain the process of kayak tournaments to get you prepared for your first event! This should be available by Mid-Late March.

MLF - Toyota Series

I will be taking you along with me as I experience the Major League Fishing (MLF) Toyota Series - Plains Division as a co-angler. This will be my primary competitive focus this year and the goal this season is to catch my first limit from the back of the boat and then to hopefully qualify for the Toyota Series Championship through AOY points/standings. This will be an amazing experience as I will be fishing with some of the sport's best and up-and-coming anglers. We will be fishing on Grand Lake (March) , Kentucky/Barkley Lakes (April) , and Lake of the Ozarks (Sept.). If I am able to qualify for the Toyota Series Championship, we will also be on Table Rock Lake (Nov).

Kayak Bass Fishing Tournaments

I will be taking you along as I compete locally and nationally in tournaments throughout the upper-midwest. I am planning to compete in events for the following organizations: Hobie Bass Open Series (BOS), Bassmaster Kayak Series (BASS), All-American Kayak Series (AAKS), Kayak Bass Fishing (KBF), Minnesota Kayak Bass Fishing League (MinnYak), BASS Nation State Kayak Series, and Slay Nation Kayak Series. Some of these events I will take more seriously than others, but my plan is to share my experiences with you as I plan for, prefish, and compete in these events. You will get to experience everything from fun league night events, monthly on-line challenge series events, to on-site professional tournaments. My season will officially kick off in late April, so expect content sometime in May.

I will be posting video reviews of products and gear and will give you my honest opinions. Now-a-days there are soo many products flooding the market and I understand the importance of having someone you can trust to give you an honest review. My primary focus is on the everyday angler so price, durability, availability, and application will be major factors in my reviews. I am going to start with the items that I already use and will expand from there. Please contact me if you have any recommendations/requests and I will do my best to accomodate you.

BassinDude Tips and Tricks

I will be starting a video series to share some general fishing knowledge to help you become a better angler. Some of these videos will be short clips and some may be in-depth technique breakdowns. The goal here is to be fun, yet informative. This series will be updated regularly and will begin once we are able to get back on the water here in MN. Expected to launch sometime in May.

As you can see, there is a lot in store for 2023 and I hope you are just as excited as I am to get this season started!
